Matt is delighted to announce and look forward to the opening of the company’s new Head Office and National Distribution Centre in Oldbury, West Midlands during early 2018.  The new NDC will support our extensive branch network to deliver excellent customer service with a huge increase in stock holding capacity; more product lines, higher quantities and dramatically shorter lead times.

This development will also see the integration of our stove distribution, with the relocation of that service from another warehouse in Derbyshire to Oldbury, again drastically cutting lead times to customers.

With the seasonal nature of the flues and chimneys industry, having the capacity to stock and deliver at scale is critical to the future growth and success of Docherty Group and the new NDC guarantees that.

Along with developments to the physical infrastructure, Docherty Group also plans to enhance the delivery capabilities of the business.  By building on successes at branch level, we’ll introduce a next day NDC to branch service. This will ensure our customers can get the stock they need wherever they are in the country, consequently enabling Docherty’s to deliver improved services.
